Sin (from Sahih Al- Bukhari)

Narrated Abu Huraira(R): I heard Allah's Messenger(S) saying- "All the sins of my followers will be forgiven except those of the Mujahirun(those who commit a sin openly or disclose their sins to the people). An example of such disclosure is that a person commits a sin at night and though Allah screens it from the public, then he comes in the morning, and says, 'O so-and-so,I did such and such (evil) deed yesterday,' though he spent his night screened by his Lord (none knowing about his sin) and in the morning he removes Allah's screen from himself [8:95-O.D]

The Rights of Brotherhood in Islam

Give them your wealth, keep ties, give them their right...even if they dont

Being with a group that is impure is better than being alone

Veil people's weaknesses/faults. If you do, Allah will veil yours

Speak highly of people when they are not there

You dont have to agree on everyhting

Overlook people's faults

Dont go extreme in your love...it could turn to hate
Dont hate too much..it may turn to love

Allow for the possibility that an enemy may become a friend one day

Make Duaa for people

Real love lasts till death

The Prophet(s) would visit Khadeejah's friends after she died because if she was alive, she would do the same.

If you love Allah, you are with Him
If you love the Prophet(s), you are with him

Guard your tongue

Be light, let things go

If you are going to harm people, its better to stay away

The Prophet(s) said the best people are those that no one notices them when they are there, and no one notices when they leave. Guard the ego against the desire to be the centre of attention

Dont be petty

Hatred

In itself, hatred is not necessarily negative. It is commendable to hate corruption, evil, disbelief, murder, lewdness, and anything else that God has exposed as despicable. The Prophet(s) never disliked things because of their essences, but because of what they manifested.

Hatred or strong dislike of a person for no legitimate reason is the disease of bughd. The Prophet(s) once said to his Companions, "Do you want to see a man of Paradise?" A man then passed by and the Prophet(s) said, "That man is one of the people of Paradise." So a companion watched the man closely for some time, and he seemed an average man of Madinah. Finally he told the man what the Prophet(s) had said about him, and asked him what he did that was special. The man replied "The only thing I can think of, other than what everybody else does, is that I make sure that I never sleep with any rancor in my heart towards another." That was his secret.

The cure for hatred is straightforward. One should pray for the person towards whom he feels hatred, making specific supplications mentioning this person by name, asking God to give this person good things in this life and the next. When one does this with sincerity, hearts mend.

Sahih Al Bukhari:Religion is very easy

Narrated(Abu Huraira(R)): The Prophet(s) said,
"Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and recieve the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by offering the prayers in the mornings, afternoons and during the last hours of the nights."
